You may also book an appointment more than 2 days in advance. We currently have appointments available up to 3 months in advance.
You can now book your Doctors appointments on line if you registered at Patient Access, you will need an email address to register.
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone us to let us know. By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot.

We are able to dispense medication to our patients who live more than 1 mile from a chemist (there are exceptions to this rule – please speak to the dispensary staff for further information).
The dispensary staff have all either completed or are undergoing formal training:
Karen Bolt – NVQ 2 in Pharmacy Services.
Teresa Dawe – Dispensing Assistants Certificate.
Elizabeth Statton – Dispensing Assistants Certificate.

On Monday’s, Wednesday’s & Friday’s we offer a delivery service for our patients to collect their medication from Crackington Haven Post Office, Luggs Garage in Delabole, Marshgate Post Office & Wainhouse Corner Post Office.
Patients should leave their prescription request counterfoil in the designated boxes along with the appropriate payment (cheques made payable to Bottreaux Surgery or cash are accepted) by no later than 1pm on the above days. The medication will then be delivered back to your chosen delivery point within four working days. Please allow 48 hours notice if we have to order items in for you. Prescriptions are normally delivered by 2pm on the above days.
Please note prescriptions requested on a Friday are not guaranteed to be delivered by Monday due to the weekend.
Please check your repeat slip carefully for messages from the dispensary .
Should you require medication early in order to cover a forthcoming holiday, please write a note indicating this on your request slip. The dispensary staff will then be happy to oblige.
Patients who receive repeat prescriptions need to have their medication checked at least annually. The prescription counterfoil indicates how many more prescriptions you can have before your next review. A letter will be sent inviting you to make an appointment with the appropriate clinician. Please make your appointment at the earliest opportunity to avoid any delay with your next prescription request.
If you are liable for prescription charges and are on two or more items regularly every month, you should consider obtaining a pre-payment certificate as there are significant savings to be made. Pre-payment certificates can be bought three monthly or yearly. Please speak to the dispensary staff for further information and to obtain the necessary application form.

Repeat medication can be ordered in one of the following ways:
Please remember that whichever system you use your prescription will normally be ready within 48 working hours, so you need to allow yourself a few days grace so that you do not run out of medication.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
